Engage with Age runs health improvement programmes in East and South Belfast.
Supported by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and the Public Health
Agency, these programmes seek to empower older people to improve their own
physical and mental health, learn new skills, be active in the community, and benefit
from services such as falls and accident prevention.
This programme works mostly through older people’s groups. If you are involved
with a group that would like to become involved please contact either Cathy or Anna.
If you are an individual that is interested in joining groups in South or East Belfast,
please contact us and our staff will chat with you about your interests and where you
live and we will signpost you to a group that will fit your needs if you would like to
join.

Engage with Age can accept referrals of individual older people aged 50+ who are at risk of loneliness and social isolation, inviting them to participate in group activities. Engage with Age offers one-to-one telephone befriending support for individual older people but does not currently provide in person visits to individual older people. To make a referral please complete the on-line Referral Form and submit or alternatively please print off a copy of the PDF Referral Form and send it to us. See also the Referral Criteria for details of who can be referred.
